The next book in the series following Shae and Jasper in the aftermath of her husband's death. There were twists and turns that made it exciting and different than book 1. I was initially wary of Jasper, especially on the heels of A Wicked Lie. But he won me over with his dedication to Shae. I did think things moved awfully fast, and if it were IRL, I'd be all "girl, seriously, take a chill pill." But fantasy worlds can do what they want, and it seemed to work rather well for them. I would definitely recommend this series, and for sure this author!
