Under My Skin by J Kenner

I've read the other two books in this series so I was anxious and excited to read the third. With all honesty, I was a little disappointed. I still love Jackson and Sylvia, don't get me wrong. Their passion and love is amazing to witness, especially with all they have gone through to get to where they are now. But it lacked intrigue to me. I thought the "mystery" wasn't really a mystery....I could spot the villain a mile away. The backstory also seems to repeat amongst the characters. Did no one have a happy childhood? Nothing bad or demeaning happen to them? It seems to be a common theme in the series, and while it's interesting and sad in book 1, it becomes redundant by book 3. With that being said, I did enjoy the book because I like being able to finish a series once I start and J. Kenner did a good job of tidying up the loose ends. All in all, it was an enjoyable read and I will continue to read this author.

About Author:
